Photo resize 10 to 20 KB
Short answer: a 10–20 KB photo is a JPG of at least 10 KB and at most 20 KB. At 200 × 230 px a passport-style photo fits this range easily; at 3.5 × 4.5 cm and 200 DPI (276 × 354 px) the tool lowers the JPG quality a little to stay under 20 KB.
Check the range and the size in your own notice: the exam table below shows what each notice asks for, and most exams allow more than 20 KB.

Questions
How do I make a photo between 10 and 20 KB?
Upload the original photo from your phone camera. The tool crops it to the passport shape, resizes it to the chosen pixels and picks the highest JPG quality that keeps the file between 10 and 20 KB.
Will a 10–20 KB photo look blurred?
Not at 200 × 230 px: a face photo of that size looks clear at 15–20 KB. Blur comes from big pixel sizes squeezed into a small file, so do not choose more pixels than your form asks for.
My form asks for 15–25 KB. Can I use this page?
Yes: type 15 in Minimum KB and 25 in Maximum KB. Or open the page of your exam in the table below, where the size from the notice is already set.
What background does the photo need?
The one your notice gives, usually light or white. Take the photo in daylight in front of a plain light wall. The tool crops and resizes the photo; it does not change the background.
Do you keep my photo or signature?
No. The picture is processed in memory to make the file and deleted right away. We never save it.
