SSC photo and signature size: resizer and converter
Short answer: SSC forms (CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD, CPO and others) do not take a photo file any more — the photo is taken live with the webcam or phone camera inside the form. You upload only the signature: JPG, 10–20 KB, about 6.0 × 2.0 cm, which is 709 × 236 px at 300 DPI.
The tool below converts a photo of your signature to exactly that size. Tips for the live photo are further down.
Resize your signature
Upload a clear picture taken with your phone. You get a JPG in the exact size. Your picture is processed in memory and deleted right away.

SSC live photo: how to do it right
- Your photo is taken live by webcam or phone camera inside the SSC form. Do not upload or photograph an old photo: such forms are rejected.
- Sit in good light in front of a plain wall. Keep the camera at eye level and look straight into it.
- Remove cap, mask, glasses and earphones. Keep your whole face inside the frame on screen, not too close and not too far.
- Wear a shirt and avoid dark or blurred shots. If the camera fails, scan the QR code on the Upload Documents page and use the mobile app.
- On exam day you must look the same as in this photo: staff at the centre compare your face with it.

Questions
Is there an SSC photo resizer?
For the current SSC forms you do not need one: the form takes your photo live, and uploading or photographing an old photo can get the form rejected. If another form asks for a 3.5 × 4.5 cm photo, use the 3.5 × 4.5 cm page.
What is the SSC signature size?
JPG, 10–20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm high. At 300 DPI that is 709 × 236 px, the size this tool makes.
How do I convert my signature to the SSC size?
Sign large on white paper with a dark pen, take a photo from straight above and upload it here. The tool cuts the empty paper around the signature, makes the background white, resizes it to 709 × 236 px and fits the file into 10–20 KB.
Why do SSC signatures get rejected?
Tiny signatures are the main reason: SSC wants the signature to fill at least 80% of the image. Sign large, keep it horizontal and avoid black borders around the paper.
Is Roz Taiyari the official SSC website?
No. Roz Taiyari is an independent free tool and is not connected with SSC or any government body. Apply only on the official website given in the notice, and check the requirements there.
Do you keep my photo or signature?
No. The picture is processed in memory to make the file and deleted right away. We never save it.
