Signature resize 30 to 50 KB (RRB 30–49 KB)
Short answer: Railway (RRB) forms ask for a signature JPG of 30 to 49 KB, at least 140 × 60 px, signed inside a 35 × 20 mm box. UP Police asks for 30–50 KB, 50 × 20 mm or 140 × 60 px. The tool below is set to 30–49 KB, so the file fits both.

What is the RRB signature size?

Why is my signature smaller than 30 KB?
A signature is mostly white paper, so a JPG of it is small. At 140 × 60 px even the best quality stays far below 30 KB. Choose 276 × 157 px: more pixels make a bigger file. If the file is still too small, the tool adds empty comment bytes inside the JPG to reach the minimum; the picture does not change.
Is 140 × 60 px allowed for RRB?
Yes, 140 × 60 px is the minimum RRB gives, so bigger is also fine. A 30–49 KB file is easier to reach at 276 × 157 px, which is the 35 × 20 mm signature box at 200 DPI.
Why do Railway signatures get rejected?
The notice lists the reasons: background not white, ink not black, signature in BLOCK or CAPITAL letters, poor resolution, signature only partly visible, or a thumb impression instead of a signature.
Is 1 KB 1000 or 1024 bytes?
The RRB notice does not say. Files from this page are between 30,720 bytes (30 × 1024) and 49,000 bytes (49 × 1000), so they fit either way of counting.
Do you keep my photo or signature?
No. The picture is processed in memory to make the file and deleted right away. We never save it.
